Adam Froman is an award-winning entrepreneur and business
leader in the area of Interactive Communications and Marketing. He
founded Delvinia
Interactive in 1998 and has led its growth to become one of the leading
digital agencies in Canada.
Prior to founding Delvinia, Adam worked
at Braxton Associates, the strategy consulting division of Deloitte Consulting,
where he developed convergence
and Internet strategies for international telecommunications and media
clients.
Viewed by many as an authority on the interactive industry in
Canada, Adam has been behind some of the leading research and industry
initiatives
and
is frequently called upon as an advisor to all levels of government and
other industry organizations. In November 2004, Adam was one of six individuals
recognized by CANARIE, Canada's advanced Internet development organization.
He received their prestigious “Application of Technology” I-Way
Award that is granted to an individual who has pioneered innovative uses
of technology related to the development of Canada’s information
highway for his work in conceiving and leading the Internet Voting initiative
with the Town of Markham.
Adam is the Founder and Executive Producer of the Canadian New Media
Awards, the largest awards initiative recognizing the talents of Canada’s
Interactive Media Industry. He also produces the Interactive Media Producers’ Survey,
an annual national survey of the Canadian new media industry which has
been conducted in partnership with Canadian Heritage for the past 5 years.
He is a member of the Canadian Marketing Association and his company
serves on both the Integrated Marketing Council and the CMA Research
committee.
He is also a member of the Market Research Industry Association (MRIA),
formerly the PMRS.
Adam gives back to the interactive industry by volunteering
on various industry boards, associations, and committees. Some of his
roles include
serving on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Independent Film & Video
Fund (CIFVF), SMART Toronto and the Cultural Human Resource Council.
Adam is a Licensed Professional Engineer, holds a Bachelor of Applied
Science
in the area of Human Factors Engineering from the University of Toronto
(1988) and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business (1992).
