Newest Canadian Event for Syndication: Syndicāte Canada 2006

March 1, 2006

ITWorld Expo Canada, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for technology markets in Canada, announced the launch of Syndicāte Canada, a B2B conference focused on emerging trends and technologies in content syndication, scheduled to take place in Toronto, June 14-15, 2006 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Syndicāte Canada 2006 was created to explore the challenges and develop models for content syndication. The event covers the business implications that technologies such as Really Simple Syndication (RSS), Atom, Podcasting, Web logs and Wikis have on traditional publishing, marketing, advertising and research businesses. Providing unique insights and strategic vision, the conference helps organizations evaluate and implement these technologies, as well as to understand the business models and take advantage of these new tools.

“Our firm always endeavours to stay at the forefront of innovation in the interactive industry. The latest trend towards syndication as an effective form of communication can no longer be ignored,” said Adam Froman, President, Delvina Interactive Inc. “As this fascinating media becomes increasingly important, I feel that it is critical to bring events like Syndicate to Canada in order to educate our clients on the potential of technologies such as this. I’m proud to have Delvinia act as the Platinum sponsor of the first ever Syndicate Canada Conference in Toronto.”

Today, the marketplace is changing—putting millions of advertising dollars at stake and forcing marketing strategies to leverage performance-based advertising to reach targeted audiences. The role of intellectual property, guidelines to working within the parameters of the Digital Rights Act and self-selecting content strategies will be explored at Syndicāte Canada 2006.

“Syndication has opened a vast new region of cyberspace, with new technologies, new opportunities, new risks and rewards, all changing and expanding rapidly,” said Jai Cole, Event Director, Syndicāte Canada. “This event will give information communicator professionals in Canada an important learning opportunity on the syndicated technologies that are taking the Internet by a storm.”
